Thanks for all the info, since having to go this all on my own it has been very useful. One thing I was thinking that could get you some traffic and a nice little freebee to give away. I have been looking all over the internet for a one page or so < strong >Markdown Cheat Sheet, Basically a one page sheet showing all, or at least the most used commands, that someone can print, stick to the wall beside their computer and have for reference.

I am sure it would only take you about 30 seconds and would be very useful to many, many people.

Anyways all the best and thanks for all the one to one help previously and all the content on your site now that I have been leaching in a huge way.

That's why I feel it is important for the independent freelancer to contribute to posts like this. It is a way of providing the casual searcher a look at both sides and also a means to legitimize the writer who comments. Everyone started somewhere and trust/risk are mitigated and nourished by constant interaction.

I write for many sites and I am an up-start freelancer for my own business. I am starting small and working my way into the trusted and legitimate world of content writing.

Again, thanks for your feedback.

The purpose of the article was to focus on pricing. By looking at several websites and the larger players an idea of pricing and content options become clear. Hiring the random writer who has a blogspot account is probably the option with the greatest risk. At least using the freelance sites allows one to see both prices as well as some kind of feedback from previous clients.
The idea that it is likely someone will find a diamond in the rough is actually quite low. I don't know your writing or you, and this is no reflection on what you do and your professional activities. However, we are dealing with risk, managing risk, and you can't minimize or manage risk using random chance or relying on luck.

It turns out, in our case, that in order to have a reliable stream of medium-quality writing, we had to go out and recruit writers. Currently we are working with eight writers. Because any one person may have a good or bad week, it is important for risk management and to develop a reliable source, to have multiple authors.
