SEO Chiangmai – On-Page SEO and Content Management
Congratulations, you are on your way to effective SEO results by engaging SEO Chiangmai to perform On-page SEO and Content Management. Here are a number of the steps and deliverables which may be included in the engagement.
Content Management System
It is extremely difficult—and therefore more expensive in terms of time and resources—to manage the SEO much less the content of a website, without a modern content management system. There are additional disadvantages which include the cost of change and vendor lock-in, but SEO management effectiveness alone should more than compensate for the costs of deploying a content management system for websites which have proprietary systems or static HTML. SEO Chiangmai supports the two most popular open-source content management systems in Thailand and throughout the world: Joomla and WordPress. These platforms are mature, offer a wide variety of features, and there are thousands of web and SEO professionals who can support the systems.
Costs for migration to a content management system are for the installation and configuration of the system itself—including SEO configuration, and secondly for the design of the site in terms of visual look-and-feel. Installation, configuration and site SEO work, includes DNS management, web hosting and a basic site template. The client is immediately able to edit the website on their own with the content management system.
Web Design and Content Editing
In many cases current designs can largely be reproduced as a theme which essentially fits over the underlying content management system. SEO Chiangmai has a WordPress template which has been optimized to support the latest click-tracking heatmaps (where people look the most frequently on websites) and ad dimension performance metrics (what sizes and shapes have the greatest clickthrough rates). We are happy to provide basic web design changes to an optimized template, or to recommend outsourcing design to local and international design firms, or to help train organization design staff in the use of WordPress templates.
Keywords in Titles, Descriptions, Headers and Subheads, URLs and Page Length
There are six basic optimizations for each page which need to be done with relation to target keywords. Keyword “stuffing” needs to be avoided, but without keywords in the title, description, H1, H2s and URL, and without appropriate page length, the ability to rank in search engines is severely limited. Individual pages can rank for keywords.
Images and Image Metadata, Outbound Links
Images raise relevance and should be used on every page, along with image metadata (alt and title tags). The same should be considered for outbound links on every page (to highly-ranking sites and pages). The title tag should be used as well as anchor text.
Sitemap.xml and RCPing
An up-to-date sitemap.xml (along with robots.txt) is the best approach to ensuring that the search engines have the most accurate site content in their cache. The use of a tool which can ping the search engines whenever changes are made is an essential tool.
RSS Feeds and Feedburner
An RSS feed of the news, blog or any form of updated content provides a variety of advantages. Social media can be implemented so automatic tweets and status updates are made with relevant content keywords and link generation. Visitors can subscribe to the feed with an RSS reader, and with the use of Feedburner, can subscribe via email.
Regularly Updated Relevant Content
Google contends that regularly updated relevant content is the key to search engine ranking and therefore visitors from the Google search engine and other properties. Content creation takes time and should be done systematically rather than ad hoc. A content schedule and strategy both for on-site and off-site content should be devised and resources allocated. Keywords and other SEO factors for on-page SEO should be implemented on every post and page.
Social Media Integration
Besides the use of an RSS feed for integration with offsite social media, the use of profile and page widgets, like buttons, etc. make content sharing simpler and easier and can drive traffic and link-building. Syndication tools are available for Twitter and Facebook.
Ecommerce
SEO Chiangmai recommends the use of a WordPress plugin to manage ecommerce, including on-site shopping cart, Paypal payment integration, digital goods management and an affiliate system. This is an inexpensive 3rd party system which provides the basic functionality and flexibility for branded ecommerce with effective SEO analytics. We can install, configure and test the ecommerce platform—including full Paypal integration.
